The work of Community Health Agents (ACS) in Arapiraca is being enhanced with new technological tools.

According to the standards of the Ministry of Health, the City of Arabiraca, through the Municipal Health Department, will deliver 650 tablets to the above-mentioned health professionals in the next few days.

Equipment at Municipal Information Technology Group (GTInfo) is configured with the Primary Care System, to be fed by CHWs during home visits, in urban and rural communities in Arapiraca.

As revealed by Municipal Health Minister, medical infectologist Luciana Fonseca, Mayor Luciano Barbosa’s decision is for agents to receive specific training for handling the tablets, and all information collected by health professionals will be published in the system.

With the support of the Ministry of Health, the municipal administration will update and intensify the registration of families in Prevent Brazil, the new funding model for primary health care (PHC), which focuses specifically on people’s registration and in primary health care.
