The Náutico jersey in partnership with Adidas has already been a huge success. The men’s version of the uniform appears as sold on the German brand’s website, while the women’s version is only available in two sizes PP and M. All this a few hours after the start of online sales.

Reports are also aware that different sizes are being sold in physical stores scattered across malls in Recife. “We thought it would sell well, we obviously had no idea the numbers, but we definitely expected very good sales, which is what happens,” said Joaquim Costa, Timbu’s director of marketing, also noting that 13,000 pieces have been on sale so far.

The jersey is part of the “Football is Soul” special campaign, in which adidas creates pieces in honor of “the teams that have helped build the history of Brazilian football.”

The famous German brand Timbu wears again after 42 years, when it supplied the team with sporting goods in the 1980 season. Since then, it will be only the third foreign supplier to pass through Aflitos, joining Wilson (US) and Umbro (UK). Since 2019, Viropros has been wearing T-shirts from their own brand, N6.

Náutico will enter the field for four Série B matches in their uniform, starting Friday (9), when they face Brusque in a match valid for the 29th round of Série B, in Aflitos. The other matches should be against Vasco, Sampaio Correa and in the Clasico against Sports.
