The Novo Party Council has called on the Federal Court of Audit (TCU) to request the suspension of the final result of the selection process by the Ministry of Health, in reference to the training program for “popular education agents” of the Unified Health System (SUS), AgPopSus.

Federal Representatives Adriana Ventura (SP), Gilson Márquez (SC) and Marcel Van Hatem (RS) were represented, as well as Senator Eduardo Girão (CE).

Through the initial results of AgPopSus' public advocacy, the Nicia Trindade-led administration established partnerships with entities allied with Lula's government and leftist movements to train community leaders. These leaders act as SUS agents in communities in need. They will be financed with public money.

Winners include entities such as the Movement of Landless Rural Workers (MST), the National Confederation of Agricultural Workers (Contag), and the Movement of Displaced Workers (MTST).

Also included, among others, is the popular youth uprising, famous for its promotion in the past “The Scoundrels” Against the authorities and groups that identify themselves as revolutionary and anti-capitalist.

In representation, the party questions the criteria for selecting these groups, which will be given a budget of R$23.7 million. It points to the problem of the lack of objective criteria for selecting movements.

According to Al Jadeed, this “It gives the administration great discretion in selecting popular social movements on the basis of aligning these movements with the views and ideological visions of the current government, which is clearly immoral and inconsistent with the principle of impersonality.”.
