Eve UAM, LLC, Embraer has announced the completion of the Concept of Operations (CONOPs) concept for urban air mobility (UAM) aerospace integration in the UK. In January 2021, the UK Air Mobility Consortium was selected by the UK Civil Aviation (CAA) initiative to participate in the Sandbox: Future Air Mobility Challenge.

“The infrastructure needed to implement urban air mobility in the future will be significant and a key component of the success of this new sector. The significant details in this report and its real-world structure pave the way for realizing the urban wind movement, “said Frederick Lagrere, President of CAA UK Innovation Services.

Conops developed the London-based case study, which carries passengers from Heathrow Airport (LHR) to London City Airport (LCY) on the Verteford network, as well as updates the amount of data obtained from computer modeling simulations to support their proposed ideas.

The first major milestone of the project was the compilation of the Civil Aviation Release 2272 document, which compiled a basic study describing the key regulatory challenges in implementing safe, efficient and measurable zero-emission urban air movement functions. Find out which areas to focus on, to make sure the proposed ideas are in line with the criteria associated with the previous regulator.

“Conops will initially focus on the solutions needed to address the short-term challenges that may affect early business operations. That fact must be taken into account. “
