Camaquã has a significant increase in active cases of Covid-19

This Friday, September 24, Kamakawa had seven new confirmed cases of Covid-19. The data brought new increases in active Covid-19 cases, which are now 53.

Within twenty days, the city went from just five to 53 active cases of the disease. The new cases recorded today are of patients between the ages of 7 and 71 years.

So far, the city’s total confirmed cases have reached 7,782 and 7,579 patients have recovered from the disease.

Currently, 89 patients with symptoms of the disease are under observation, and it has also increased in recent weeks.

In terms of in-hospital patients, the city has three Intensive Care Unit (ICU) beds at Nossa Senhora Aparecida Hospital and three beds in clinical beds.

Vaccination in Kamakawa

The city of Camaquã started a new phase of vaccination against Covid-19 this week. Populations aged 16 or over who do not have comorbidities are now vaccinated.

The first dose of the immunizing agent is applied in the Viégas Immunization Center, located next to the urban social centre.

The application for the second dose will be for those who have received the Fiocruz / AstraZeneca vaccination, for those who have taken the first dose until July 3. The Pfizer vaccine will be applied to those immunized with the first dose by July 20.
