Anti-vaccine groups target Draghi and issue Prime Minister statements

FIFA requests the player's release and requests a special quarantine from the UK

Turin, Dec 12 (ANSA) – An anti-vaccine group released statements on Italian Prime Minister Mario Draghi via Telegram on Sunday (12) and called on “allies” to hold daily protests in front of the politician’s apartment.

The group leaders issued a title and photo of Draghi with the mustache worn by Adolf Hitler and asked everyone to gather at the site “every night at 9 pm”.

In addition, they asked anyone with personal data, such as the phone numbers and addresses of other Italian ministers, mayors or governors, to share the information in order to draw up a “dictatorship fascist criminals list”.

Although small, anti-vaccination groups increased their measures after the Italian government tightened rules for the attendance of unvaccinated people to several places.

Between December 6 and January 15, people who are not infected or have recently recovered from Covid-19 will not be able to enter covered areas of restaurants, bars, nightclubs, concerts and sporting events. The so-called “Green Passage” is reinforced and can only be issued by those who have been vaccinated or cured.

Like other European countries, Italy is facing a resurgence of the epidemic, with an increase in the number of cases and deaths. However, due to the high vaccination rate, the growth rate is much slower than in other countries on the continent, such as Germany or the United Kingdom.

According to the latest update from the Ministry of Health at dawn on Sunday, Italy has 88.15% of the target population (people over 12 years old) with at least one dose of the formulations used in the country and 85% with the full course.

The government now plans to start vaccinating children aged 5 to 11 on December 16, and has expanded the audience who can receive the booster dose. Also, according to the government, the dose application target was exceeded in November, with more than 5.1 million administrations. (Ansa).
