The cat got a strange name at the shelter

After being abandoned by its previous owners who could not afford to raise it, the cat received a strange name: Nanny McPhee.

The name is in honor of the literary and cinematic character played by British actress Emma Thompson, famous for her unusual nose.

A rare anomaly that does not affect health

According to Fiona Brockbank, the veterinarian in charge of the NGO Cat Protection, where the cat was abandoned, this congenital anomaly, although rare, does not affect the groomer’s health:

“This is really rare and, fortunately, it does not cause her any problems. This is the first time our team has seen a cat with two noses. Other congenital abnormalities in this area of the cat, such as the lip, Cleft palate, or cleft palate, is more common and can be hereditary or caused by accidents during development in the womb.

Furthermore, the vet also confirmed that the cat is indeed on the waiting list for castration. Although Nanny’s special condition does not affect her quality of life, it is important that she be spayed, because if she has puppies, she may develop a disability that is not as harmful as Nanny’s.
