The ghost of modifying the health plan It is showing signs that it could bring an even more severe wave this year.

Among the first increases, which usually start in May, there are cases of up to 80% in contracts with Central Nacional Unimed.

The South Pacific Commission, in a memo, sought that readjustment of health plan operators is a legal device, with clear criteria and previously agreed upon between the parties.

“Membership method plans are negotiated through benefit managers, contract holders, in this case Qualicorp, also responsible for liaising with contractors,” Central Nacional Unimed says.

According to Qualicorp, the Central Nacional Unimed client portfolio readjustment in question was a one-time event, representing approximately 0.5% of Qualicorp’s total clients and covering a small portion of users for a no longer commercial contract.

“CNU’s average portfolio readjustments this year have been between 6% and 12%,” says Qualicorp.
