Data recently released by the US National Travel and Tourism Office (NTTO) shows total international air traffic, including departures and arrivals of Americans, in August. to us It was 23.4 million in August, a 17% increase compared to the same month in 2022, reaching 95.7% of the pre-pandemic level of August 2019.
Non-U.S. non-citizen air passenger arrivals from overseas totaled 5.4 million, representing 21.3% growth from August 2022.
Also, in the month analyzed, 128,668 Brazilians visited the United States. Brazil had 136,424 visitors from the country to North America, down slightly from the school holiday month of July.

- Total passenger air travel (arrivals and departures) between the United States and other countries was led by Mexico (3.184 million), Canada (2.859 million), the United Kingdom (2.119 million), Germany (1.073 million) and the Dominican Republic (1.012 million). );
- International Regional Air Travel to/from USA:
- A total of 7.571 million passengers in Europe, an increase of 12.9% compared to August 2022 and a decrease of 8.3% compared to August 2019;
- South/Central America/Caribbean totaled 5.555 million, a 15.3% increase compared to August 2022 and a 7.7% increase compared to the same month in 2019;
- Asia has a total of 2.321 million passengers, an increase of 67.7% compared to August 2022, but still a decrease of 34.8% compared to August 2019.
