    The United States had 5.06 million foreign visitors in July 2023, which is 83.6% of the July 2019 (pre-pandemic) total and 19.4% more than July 2022. From the National Travel and Tourism Office (NTTO).

    Total international air traffic, including departures and arrivals of Americans, reached 24.7 million in July 2023, an increase of 16.8% compared to July 2022, with shipments reaching 97.8% of July 2019, pre-pandemic volume.

    The number of foreign visitors (staying one or more nights in the United States and visiting under certain types of visas) reached 3.13 million in July 2023, the 21st consecutive month that foreign visitors passed the million mark. Foreign visitor arrivals in July reached 78.4% of the pre-pandemic volume in July 2019, up from 73.2% in June 2023.

    The top US airports that received international travelers were New York (JFK): 3.4 million, Los Angeles (LAX): 2.2 million, Miami (MIA): 2.13 million, Newark (EWR): 1.53 million, San Francisco (SFO): 1.48 million.

    The main foreign airports that received American travelers were London Heathrow (LHR): 1.78 million, Cancun (CUN): 1.30 million, Toronto (YYZ): 1.11 million, Paris (CDG): 866 thousand, and Mexico City (Mexico): 754 thousand. .
