A survey conducted by the American magazine Ceoworld, which specializes in economics and business, indicated the 20 countries most obsessed with fast food in the world – and the result, originally published in December 2022, has such a surprising cast that it was discussed again on social networks last week.
In the first place on the podium, as expected, is the USA. But the second and third places really bring news: the UK – famous for its traditional pub food culture – and France, so famous for its haute cuisine, it is home to the “Bible”, the Michelin Guide.
According to the magazine, the explanation for the arrangement lies in the habits of the population, which may reveal changes in appetite associated with the local economy today, because snacks are usually cheap options. The list was drawn up based on the number of times interviewed residents who reported eating at restaurants in the strip, on average, in a month.
