Women-led startups get boost from UK government

A new startup acceleration program aims to boost female entrepreneurs. Named Inventivos Tech Hub, the UK Government's UK-Brazil Tech Hub is an initiative by Inventivos with partners such as Senai Cimatec and Wayra.

The first class will be exclusively for startups founded by women. The eight-week accelerator will be from April 29 to June 28, with online and in-person meetings with early-stage tech companies located in Salvador and the metropolitan area. Registration is now open.

Startups selected for the program will receive mentorship and support from business leaders and founders of national and international startups, benefits and discounts from a portfolio of over 50 partners such as Wayra, an open innovation hub, and Vivo's Corporate Venture Capital. AWS, Oracle, Google Cloud, IBM, Zendesk, Notion etc. are helping the company grow.

“By investing in women's entrepreneurial potential, we not only promote gender equality, but also drive innovation and economic development more broadly. In fact, we need to consider that diversity is a fundamental aspect when we want to talk. Practice what real innovation is. Because only one profile will work There is no innovation when there is opportunity”, reinforces Lucas Santana, CEO of Inventivos, a platform founded with investor Monique Evelle.

The registration form for Inventivos Tech Hub, an acceleration program for startups founded by women, is open for registration until April 12.

After selecting 20 startups to participate in the program, the results will be notified through the email specified in the registration form.
