UK Porsche Club on epic journey to celebrate 60 years

This is the year that Porsche celebrates the 70th anniversary of its clubs around the world. For England, it’s been around for 60 years, leading to an incredible tour.

The Porsche Club of Great Britain organized a fantastic road trip to celebrate its 60th anniversary and the brand’s 70th clubs around the world. In total, 50 models from the German brand, from the 356 to the new Taykon, were joined by the Boxster, Cayman, Macan, Cayenne, Panamera and, of course, the iconic 911.

The caravan, consisting of 100 participants in 50 cars painted in various colors such as Ruby Star, mint green, racing yellow or shark blue, used the routes and headed towards the Swiss Alps for incredible driving moments and less spectacular views. Dimmelsjökull pass and more.

With few cars left, the trip was made in small groups from England to France, with a meeting point at the Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps in Belgium, where club members could give hundreds of free reins. After that, it was time to get back on the road to Stuttgart, where, in between the two-for-one, a visit to the Porsche factory, there was an exhibition dinner at the brand’s museum.

After visiting France, Belgium, Germany, and Austria, the group headed to Italy to explore the world’s newest (and largest) Porsche Experience Center, located in the Franciacorta area in the heart of Brescia. It has an area of ​​5,600 meters and a runway of 2.5 kilometers.

Returning to the UK was done on a more or less individual basis, with each participant organizing themselves as they saw fit, either alone or with other participants. In total, more than 4,500 kilometers were covered in ten days, creating memories and stories that await continuation in future editions.
