In Uruguay, he met President Luis Lacalle Poe.

Then, in February, Lola went to the United States. Between February 9 and 11, he met with US President Joe Biden to discuss bilateral and global issues.

In April, Lola traveled to China. The flight was postponed due to mild pneumonia in Brazil and took place between April 13th and 14th. There, Lula attended the inauguration of former President Dilma Rousseff in charge of the new development bank, Banco dos BRICS, and met Chinese leader Xi Jinping, among other authorities. Between April 21 and 25, Lula was in Portugal and Spain. At the first destination, he met Portuguese President Marcelo Rebelo and Prime Minister Antonio Costa. He also presented the Camões Award to Chico Buarque. In Spain he met the head of government, Pedro Sánchez and King Felipe VI.

Lula’s last trip abroad so far was to the UK. In London, he attended the coronation of King Charles III. He had earlier met Prime Minister Rishi Sunak.
