The UK unemployment rate remained at 4.2% in the three months to November

Average weekly salary, excluding bonuses, showed a 6.6% annual increase in the quarter ending November, slowing compared to the previous quarter through October.

The UK unemployment rate reached a historic low of 4.2% in the quarter ending November 2023, unchanged from the level in the three months to October.

The data was published on Tuesday (16) by the country's Office of National Statistics (ONS).

The ONS also reported that average weekly earnings, excluding bonuses, showed a 6.6% annual increase in the quarter to November, slowing from the 7.2% gain recorded in the quarter to October, according to a revised figure.
