The Premier League has announced that England will not be releasing players for the national teams on the red list (Govt-19). The decision of the clubs, which the organization underlines in a statement, was unanimous.

Anyone coming to the UK from one of the 60 countries on the red list is liable for a 10-day isolation period. “This means the status of the players will be significantly affected,” said Richard Masters, managing director of the Premier League.

The English League sought a solution with the English Federation and the government, but the report states that “due to public health concerns, no exceptions have been made for those on the Red List.”

It is a universe of about 60 players from 19 Premier League clubs who are not available for teams from 26 countries. Among the victims, for example, Brazil and Angola.

There are nine players who have been called up for the Brazilian games, and they need to be replaced. As for Angola, Leeds player Holder Costa will not travel either. The same thing could happen to Ivan Cavalero, who plays in the championship.

The Spanish league has announced its support for all clubs that decide not to release players.

A Renaissance Liga is awaiting clarification from Portugal as to whether any position is being considered in this regard, taking into account the restrictions on people going to Portugal imposed by the government.
