Neta's investment in Brazil does not indicate the immediate construction of a factory, but rumors leave open the option of establishing a factory complex in the country. To become a big company, you need to think about producing products that carry the identity of the local consumer.

Founded in 2014 in Zhejiang province by former Chery engineering chief Fang Yunzhou – who teamed up with tech entrepreneur Zhang Yong – the group has two factories in China and another in Thailand – and is sure to focus here 100% on trams. Before dealing with the issue of manufacturing in Brazil, it will have a strong spare parts warehouse to meet any demand from the replacement sector with vendors.

The latest data from Neta Auto shows that, at the end of 2023, the brand sold 127,496 hybrid and electric units, which places the carmaker in fifth place in the ranking among emerging manufacturers.

    The deadlines

The Chinese will start with two cars at the beginning of the product range, but the goal is to reach four vehicles – among which the direct consumer “desire” of the Brazilian customer: a car of low cost, visual elegance and high technology.

We've looked at Neta's portfolio in China and verified in Brazil the INPI registration of the 4.7-metre-long electric GT with just over 460 hp. An elegant model, the coupe has two battery configurations ranging from 550 km to 660 km of autonomy in the Chinese cycle. Inside, the center console is a gigantic 17.6 inches, while the instrument panel measures 10.25 inches.
