According to James Edwards, director of Chevening in Brazil, the program seeks students who want to improve relations between the British and Brazilians. “Candidates need to show the impact they’re making.”
To participate, the student must go through a selection process. The first step is to register on this website, fill the online form with the desired courses and submit the required documents. Examples include diplomas, academic transcripts, university acceptance letters and letters of recommendation.
The second phase includes an interview in English at the British Embassy and Brazilian capitals in all regions of the country. In 2022, more than 50 Brazilians were awarded scholarships.
