    Earlier this year calendar PIS has been changed And now it will be paid again in February 2022. This is because the bill raising the minimum wage to 1,192 Brazilian reals has made it to the National Congress. However, the value may change if inflation exceeds expectations by the end of this year. But how much will you get in PIS 2021/2022 per month?

    First, understand that this change in the value of the minimum wage causes a multiplier effect and generates changes in several government benefits. For example, salary bonus PIS-PASEP 2022.

    Thus, if R$1,192 is confirmed, workers will have this amount as the basis for the calculation. In short, it is divided by 12 and multiplied by the months worked in the reference year for payment.

    Who gets the allowance?

    In short, PIS (Social Integration Program) is paid by Caixa Econômica Federal to workers who work in private companies. As the PASEP (Public Employee Asset Creation Program), which is paid by the Bank of Brazil, is intended for public employees.

    The salary increment is stipulated by law and is a constitutional right for a worker who:

    Be registered for at least 5 years in PIS;

    – received from the employer an average wage of up to 2 (two) minimum wages in the period of work in the base year;

    – Worked on an official contract for at least 30 days in the base year;

    – Included in RAIS – the annual list of social information – relevant to the base year.

    In the CAIXA app for workers, you can learn about salary allowance and unemployment insurance, check payment schedule, check premiums released and ask questions. And all this in just a few clicks.
