    The REM Acre Project – Phase II is the result of a financial collaboration between the governments of Acre, Germany and the United Kingdom through the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and the Department of Energy Conservation and Net Zero. The United Kingdom (DESNZ), through the German development bank Kreditanstalt für Wiederaufbau (KfW), implements projects aimed at forest conservation that benefit thousands of rural, riparian, extractive and indigenous producers through various organizations.

    In the state, the REM project is already in its second phase and received representatives from the German and UK governments in July, who visited the beneficiaries of the project in Jurua Valley. “We were able to provide 30 million [investidos na Fase II], only 19.1 million euros due to deforestation.     In this regard, Acre State Government is one of the finalists for the Competitiveness Award 2023 through the REM Acre Project – Phase II coordinated by the State Planning Secretariat (CEPLAN).
