President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT) will speak with King Charles III of the United Kingdom next Monday (6). This information was published last Friday (3) in the official agenda of the President.

Lula recently met US President Joe Biden and discussed important issues like the Amazon Fund. In February, on the 23rd, Lula also met with Argentine President Alberto Fernandez to improve relations between the neighbors.

The press office of Planaldo Palace confirmed that the conversation between the president and the English monarch will take place by telephone.

The king is expected to officially invite the chief executive to his coronation in London on May 6.

On 1 January, the day of Lula’s inauguration, the King sent a letter congratulating him and highlighting the “dear friendship” and “strong partnership between Brazil and the United Kingdom”.
