President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT) boarded the presidential plane this Saturday (6) afternoon to return to Brazil after a trip to the United Kingdom fueled by King Charles III’s coronation celebrations.

On Friday, Lula met with British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, who received a promise from the United Kingdom to contribute R$500 million to Amazon’s fund. Later, the First Lady attended the British Royal Family’s reception for heads of state invited to the coronation, along with Janja.

This Saturday, Lula and Janja attended the coronation ceremony at Westminster Abbey.

    Travel to Japan

Lula will attend as a guest — invited by Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida in April. The meeting will be held from May 20 to 21. The week before that, Finance Minister Fernando Haddad is due to travel to Japan to meet with the country’s ministers.

Currently, the G7 system consists of France, USA, UK, Germany, Japan, Italy and Canada.
