Germany and the United Kingdom on Wednesday intercepted three Russian fighter jets on a reconnaissance mission over the Baltic Sea, the German Air Force announced.
“The spy planes were intercepted. [Caças] German and British Eurofighters were alerted to spot three military aircraft,” the German Air Force wrote on Twitter.
“Two Russian SU-27 Flankers and an IL-20 were again flying without transponder signals. [dispositivo de comunicação] in international airspace over the Baltic Sea,” he added.
Germany and the United Kingdom participate in monitoring the airspace of the Baltic states within the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO). On April 17, a similar interception had already occurred.
