ABU DHABI, 26th October, 2023 (WAM) — His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates, on Thursday (26/10) received United Kingdom’s Defense Secretary Grand Shabbs.
During the meeting held at Qasr Al Shaadi in Abu Dhabi, the Sheikh and the Defense Secretary reviewed various aspects of cooperation between the UAE and the UK in the field of defense as part of the existing strategic relationship between the two countries. .
Discussions also covered recent developments in the Gaza Strip and measures to de-escalate the crisis situation that threatens to compromise the stability and security of the region and its people.
The meeting was attended by Sheikh Mansour bin Saeed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister and President of the Presidential Court; Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Saeed Al Nahyan; Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Tahnun Al Nahyan, Adviser on Special Affairs at the Ministry of the Presidential Court; Mohammed bin Ahmed Al Bowardi, Minister of State for Defense Affairs; Khaldoun Khalifa Al Mubarak, Chairman of the Administrative Affairs Commission and Member of the Executive Council; and team with the United Kingdom’s Defense Secretary.
