In the Brazilian First Division, Flamengo defeated Bahia at Fonte Nova Stadium, with three goals to two. Fluminense scored two goals to zero in Cuiaba. Palmeiras and Bragantino were one-on-one. Atlético Mineiro defeated Internacional 2-0. Corinthians and Sao Paulo, the classic match ended in a draw with one goal for each side. Grêmio and Fortaleza were at zero to zero. Vasco da Gama suffered another home defeat. This time for Santos, by one to zero. In the Minas Gerais Classic, Cruzeiro crushed America 4-0.

Also classic in Curitiba. Atlético Paranaense lost to Coritiba 2-1 until the forty-ninth minute and turned the match into a three-two. Goias beat Botafogo 2-1. With these results, Botafogo continues to lead the Brazilian championship, followed by Palmeiras, Fluminense and Cruzeiro.
