Zahawi celebrated that 60% of Britons are fully vaccinated, that is, they have already received two doses of the vaccine.

“We achieved a score of 3 out of 5 of all adults receiving second dose protection,” the vaccine minister said in a statement.

The United Kingdom was the first country in the West to launch a mass vaccination campaign in December last year, following the approval of the immunization agency. Pfizer / Bioendech.

The British vaccine uses 4 different immunization agents, all of which are approved by the country’s health authority and distributed free of charge by the NHS, a public health organization similar to Brazilian SUS.

    Vaccines approved in the UK:

The first three complete immunizations require two doses, while the Johnson vaccine (Johnson & Johnson) requires only one dose of protection.

    Increase in combinations

The UK Health Service has warned this week of an increase in the number of COV-19 patients in need of respirators in hospitals. (Watch the video below).

Experts have been predicting this increase since the country was gradually reopened, with more people on the streets and the first to be identified in India with the dominance of delta diversity.

Nevertheless, the British government maintains a July 19 deadline to end all restrictions against Govt-19, which is the height of summer in the Northern Hemisphere.

In the United Kingdom, where the delta variant already dominates, the Ministry of Health has confirmed that both doses used provide protection against infections.

“Data show us that it is important for people to get both doses of the Covit-19 vaccine because they can effectively protect against delta variation,” said Minister Matt Hancock.
