The Department of Health (SES) covid-19 committee gave its update on Friday (23/7) listing 63,000 cases that were blocked. None of these had deaths. Added to the other cases already published today, 64,056 new cases of the disease were counted on this date. With this, Rio Grande do Sul brings it to 1,343,586 confirmed cases, with 32,972 deaths among them.
This blocking is due to the fact that the automated operation of the SES board (ti.saude.rs.gov.br/covid19) requests that each case be closed with a positive result by the municipalities. However, in order to provide greater transparency and speed to the real epidemiological situation, it was decided to eliminate the need for this final sign.
With the change of the rule that determines the inclusion of new states in the panel, it will be possible to find out positive states in a more convenient way. The mandatory closure standard by the municipality of residence was also a model adopted by the SES since last year to ensure that local monitoring was aware of the situation, including those reported in other cities.
All of these pending cases – whose dates range from the first half of 2020 to the most recent – are mild influenza syndromes reported in the e-SUS Notifica. Therefore, there are no records of hospitalizations and deaths in this relationship, as these cases are reported in another system, Sivep-Gripe.
