After theories about Kate Middleton's health and alleged “disappearance” gained momentum online, Kensington Palace released a statement on Thursday (29/2) explaining why the princess has not been seen in public since an event on Christmas 2023. According to the community, Middleton underwent abdominal surgery in January and needed to be hospitalized for 13 days. But the British Crown did not elaborate on the reason for the procedure.

To the American newspaper Entertainment tonightThe palace said the princess was well. “We reported two days ago that the Princess of Wales remains in good health. As we have made clear since our last initial statement in January, we will not be providing ongoing commentary or daily updates.

Kensington Palace did not provide further details about why the princess underwent surgery. Due to the procedure, all of Kate Middleton's official engagements have been postponed until Easter, March 31.

Theories about the princess's 'disappearance' gain traction

The North American and British press reported that the princess had cancer, which led to her being fired by Entertainment tonightThe outlet explained: “It is understood that his condition does not involve cancer, but given the time he is expected to spend in hospital and his slow return to royal duties, it is unlikely that the surgery he underwent was simple.”

On social media, theories about the disappearance have been circulating, with Kate Middleton's name becoming the most trending name on X, formerly Twitter, in Europe. Among them, the princess had undergone plastic surgery, was about to separate from Prince William, or was about to leave royal life.
