After apologizing for publishing a photo suspected of being “digitally manipulated”… “disappearance” Princess of Wales Kate Middletonthe topic became again. Kensington Palace in London She published her first official photo since undergoing surgery last January, but the image was deleted by several media outlets, including four major news agencies in the world, which pointed to evidence that it had been tampered with.

It seems that the palace hopes that this Sunday's photo will put an end to doubts, especially after publishing some photos of her in the car and confirming the resumption of her public agenda next June.

Kate underwent “planned abdominal surgery” on January 16. Kensington Palace in London He did not give a cause, but said it was all “planned” and not cancer. She was last seen in public on December 25, accompanying the family on a Christmas Day outing at Sandringham, the royal country home. Her absence from royal engagements since Christmas has led to speculation and conspiracy theories.

Kensington Palace in London confirmed that Kate's surgery was successful, and on January 29 it was announced that she had been discharged from the hospital and returned to her home in Windsor.

According to sources, Kate has not revealed her diagnosis to protect the family's privacy. “A lot of what they do for the kids is normalize life and not make them feel like they're in a special gilded cage,” biographer Robert Hardman told People magazine.

Princess's uncle comments on reality show
Kate's uncle Gary Goldsmith, whose show is exclusively on the British show Celebrity Big Brother, commented that the princess was receiving “the best care in the world”. But he declined to give further details, saying there were “rules of etiquette”.

“She doesn’t want to talk about it. The last thing I would do is… There’s some sort of etiquette. If it comes out, I’ll give my opinion,” Goldsmith told actress Ekin Su Kulkologlu. “I’ve spoken to her mother and her sister, she’s getting the best care in the world. Family comes first, before anything else. She’s amazing and she’ll be back, of course she’ll be back, she’s confirmed that.”

    Last seen in public
On Christmas Day, Kate attended St Mary Magdalene Church in Norfolk. She was accompanied by William and her three children, George, Charlotte and Louis. Kate greeted the crowds and waved to the cameras at the event. But the princess has not been seen in public since then.

Three weeks later, on January 17, Kensington Palace announced that Kate, 42, had been admitted to a London clinic for “planned abdominal surgery.” An hour later, it was time to announce that King Charles III, 75, would undergo corrective surgery to treat an enlarged prostate.

However, when the King was photographed at home again and resumed some official engagements, the rumours turned to the princess. But William's absence from the memorial, the palace statement and Kate's uncle's comment only fuelled speculation about his health.

    First announcement

Kensington Palace's first statement about the surgery came out on January 17, the day after Kate Middleton's procedure. “It is Princess Kate's wish that her personal medical information remain private,” the statement said. The memo also explained that the princess would remain in hospital for 10 to 14 days after the surgery, and would not return to public duties until Easter. She eventually left the hospital on January 29, 13 days after the procedure.

The surgery was a success, Kensington said, though the length of the hospital stay and the tone of the statement suggested his condition could be serious. Patients who undergo minor procedures are generally released home shortly afterward. In Kate’s case, in addition to the two weeks in hospital, it could take up to three months for her to fully recover.

What type of surgery did Kate Middleton have?

This remains a mystery to the public. Abdominal surgery can be triggered for reasons ranging from an appendectomy to a gastrointestinal procedure. On January 17, Kensington Palace said the surgery was a success. It did not provide details about the diagnosis or prognosis, but said it was “not cancerous.”

The palace added: “The Princess of Wales appreciates the attention this statement will generate. She hopes the public will understand her desire to maintain as much normality as possible for her children; and your wish for your personal medical information to remain private.

Another statement was issued later in the month when the public was informed that Kate had been discharged from the London clinic.

The British government announced last Tuesday that Kate will participate, on June 8, in her first official participation since undergoing surgery.
