    Few people know but the Meu SUS digital application (formerly Conecte SUS), of the Ministry of Health, in addition to helping to manage tests, consultations, vaccines and user medications, has a function called “Healthy Weight”. This is a plan that helps you improve your diet and physical activity in just 12 weeks. It is a free function, available to all users of the application.

    How to download My Digital SUS

    The Healthy Weight program offers information, advice, an interactive quiz and a body mass index (BMI) calculator, helping you determine your ideal weight. In addition, physical activity tips and healthy eating tips are available, separated by week.

    According to the Ministry of Health website, the goal is to educate the population about how to prevent excess weight and chronic diseases and to warn of the dangers of lack of physical activity and malnutrition.

    How to reach a healthy weight

    1. After downloading the Meu SUS Digital application, you must log in with the CPF and password used to register on gov.br.

    If you have not registered, just do so, or if you have forgotten your password, you can recover it in the “I forgot my password” section.

    2. On the app home screen, select “Applications” in the bottom left menu.

    3. Then scroll through the list until you find “Healthy Weight.”

    4. Clicking takes you to the Healthy Weight Program page, which contains the 12-week program, the ability to calculate the body mass index, and informational content. You can also calculate your BMI to analyze your health, but to access the 12-week program, click “Start Program.”

    5. You will find the appropriate and healthy eating part or the physical activity part, whichever you choose.

    In addition to directions and activities, other content is also available on Peso Saadável, such as:

    Note that the program is separated by weeks, and you can complete the activities separately, week by week, in the food and physical activity categories.

    Plus, the app measures your progress: when you complete activities, the percentage bar goes up, and you can see where you stand and how far you've progressed by the end of the 12 weeks.

    The appropriate and healthy eating content was created based on the Nutritional Guide for the Brazilian Population, while the physical activity part follows the Physical Activity Guide for the Brazilian Population.
