On Thursday (28), the São José dos Campos Municipal Hospital opened a dengue reference center, expanding care for people with symptoms of the disease.
The unit was installed in the hall of the Lucy Montoro Rehabilitation Centre, in partnership between the city council and the SP state government.
The location is next to the municipal hospital parking lot, on Saijiro Nakamura Street, 600 – Industrial Villa. Service 24 hours.
The center includes reception, examination, risk classification, rapid dengue test, medical evaluation and hydration department. If necessary, the patient will be transferred to the municipal hospital.
According to the city hall, the goal of the reference center is to reduce waiting time for patient care.
According to the latest update of the city's epidemiological bulletin, São José dos Campos has 15,837 confirmed cases of dengue fever and four deaths have already been confirmed.
