The third Casa da Esperança unit was opened on Tuesday (27), in Santo Andre, and will be dedicated exclusively to the care of SUS (Unified Health System) patients. With an investment of R$ 1,300,000, it is expected to provide about 10,000 services per month.

To use the services, residents must first visit the UBS (Basic Health Unit) closest to their place of residence and obtain a referral from Poupatempo da Saúde. Once at Casa da Esperança, specialist doctors examine the patient and prescribe the necessary tests, which can be performed either in the municipal network or on site.

“Here in this unit, with 10 thousand services, we will be able to provide dignity with modern and superior technological equipment, and we will increasingly offer high-quality service,” extols Gilvan Junior, Minister of Health of Santo Andre.

With an investment of 1,300,000 Brazilian reals, the unit is located at Rua Joaquim Távora, 169, in Villa Santa Teresa, has 700 square meters of built-up area, two floors, and will be available to André residents as of Friday (01) It offers X-ray and ultrasound services Acoustic and vascular Doppler.

“We have taken another piece of sanitary equipment off the ground and this is symbolic. Firstly, because it comes after we were able to put our house in order, renovate several sanitary units and expand other equipment such as Poupatempo da Saúde, and it is also symbolic because it embodies the partnership with the third sector, who helped build the city. “Finally, it's great, new equipment that will perform as well as Casa da Esperança already has,” says Santo André Mayor Paulo Serra.

Casa da Esperança is an entity managed by the Rotary Club of Santo André, and also has two other units, in Villa Assunção, one on Avenida Dr. Alberto Benedetti, 533, and the other in Travesa Apeninhos, 106.
