A 100-year-old Welsh football team has been declared the worst team in the UK. Cwm Albion Football Club is a kind of ‘British Ibis’, even using a red and black shirt with vertical stripes like Pernambuco.

The British newspaper Daily Mail published a report stating that Albion conceded 200 goals in the 2022/2023 season.

One of the midfielders in the team’s current lineup, John Rees, is 73 years old.

According to the British press, Albion scored 200 goals in 22 matches last season, after scoring only nine goals.

The team’s goalkeeper is named Jimmy McDonald. During his ten years at Albion, he never went into a match without conceding a goal.

Despite the results, coach Dan Gill celebrated his players’ commitment and participation: “Despite our defeats, we’re here every week, putting our hearts into every game, no matter the result – and we lost 10 to 0 the other day, that says a lot.”

The hype surrounding Albion’s successive failures also paid off for the team. Team officials said a former Premier League player, whose identity was not revealed, had committed to training with Albion in the near future.
