Paramore has announced the cancellation of the final two shows of the North American tour in support of the “This is Why” album. The reason is a lung infection that singer Hayley Williams had. The performances will take place this Thursday (10) in Portland, Oregon; And next Sunday (13th) in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Previously, other concerts had been rescheduled for the same reason. The singer herself took to social media to explain herself and apologize to the public. She said:

“I’ve been doing everything I can to fight this infection so we don’t let anyone down with more cancellations and reschedulings. After pushing myself too hard for the last show and consulting my doctor, we realized I’m unfortunately past the point of trying to get through that to put on a good show. I’m at pain risk.” Long term and i need to take care of my body.

We are very sorry to everyone who was patient with us when we rescheduled these shows and who may have already made travel plans to be with us again. I can’t go on physically. I know the news is not good for anyone. Thank you very much for your continued support. I love you.”

The band also confirmed that ticket refunds will be available soon.
