According to the Mexican Consulate in Brazil, the authorization can be requested up to 30 days before your trip and is valid for entering Mexico 30 days after it was issued. You can stay in Mexican territory for up to 180 days.

How to issue an electronic authorization (ETA)
If you are not among the exceptions that do not require the provision of authorization, you must follow these steps:
1. Access the form in this link;

11. Ready! You will receive a confirmation whether your authorization has been approved. If so, simply print it out to present to the airline upon boarding and immigration in Mexico.
It is worth noting that Brazilians traveling to Mexican territory by land or sea, in accordance with the regulations in force, must request the corresponding physical visa from the Mexican consular authorities.
