Reports are rare, but World Health Organization The World Health Organization (WHO) will investigate cases of hearing loss and other hearing problems that may be associated with the covid-19 vaccine.

According to a newsletter published by the United Nations health agency, there have been reports of sudden hearing problems – including tinnitus and ringing sounds – from people who received the vaccine.

Most of these people said they experienced these side effects within a day of using the immune system.

According to the World Health Organization, there have been 367 reports of tinnitus and 164 cases of hearing loss worldwide among people who have received one of the vaccinations against COVID-19.

Given that more than 11 billion doses of the vaccine have been administered worldwide, hearing problems can be considered extremely rare.

The people who reported tinnitus were between 19 and 91 years old, and nearly three-quarters of them were women. Reports came from 27 countries, including Italy, the United Kingdom and the United States. More than a third are reported among health care workers.

But the World Health Organization stressed that so far there is no evidence that vaccines can cause hearing problems. The US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and companies that make vaccines have also argued.

In any case, the researchers called for more studies into the relationship between the vaccine and tinnitus.
