Improvement in health indicators will allow changes from Wednesday

The Office for Combating Covid-19 has identified a new flexibility in the Covid-19 coexistence plan, which comes into effect from Wednesday (03.02). Social events are authorized with 1500 people or 70% capacity indoors, and up to 3000 people or 70% capacity outdoors. A vaccination passport and a negative test of 500 people must be brought. Changes are valid until March 15th.

According to the Minister of State for Health, AndrĂ© Longo, the adoption of the new measures was possible due to the low indicators of Covid-19 in Pernambuco. “Succession does not mean that the epidemic is over. If we want to beat the virus, we need to be vigilant and, above all, progress in vaccination. Everyone’s commitment is essential. He emphasized that vaccines, in addition to being safe, are our main allies in protecting lives.”

In the case of corporate events and the presence of fans in the stadiums, the limit is three thousand people or 70% of the capacity. Sports competitions may generally be held with an audience of 1,500 indoors and 3,000 outdoors, or 70% of capacity, whichever is less. The requirements for proof of vaccine and negative testing are the same as for social events.

In food services, maximum capacity is 80% and proof of vaccination is mandatory. Cinemas, theatres, circuses and museums can accommodate up to 1,500 people or 70% of capacity. In this case, in addition to the vaccination passport, from 500 people onwards, tickets should be intended only for those whose test result was negative.
