The same rule that applies to a woman applies to a man: the passing of years interferes with fertility. A study by the UK’s Center for Reproductive Health and Genetics showed that male fertility also suffers from the effects of the so-called circadian clock. After following 4,300 men who underwent assisted reproductive therapy, researchers found that for fathers over 50, the odds of a live birth were 33% lower than for those younger.
According to researchers, although sperm production continues throughout life, it is no longer the same as before. “From the age of 45 onwards, men begin to undergo hormonal changes, and over time, the pattern and amount of semen also decreases,” explains Matthews Roque, a human reproduction specialist, from São Paulo (SP).

“Higher” in fertility
However, certain habits can help prolong male fertility. Check out the tips below:

– Do regular physical activities
– get enough sleep;
Low alcohol consumption.
Moderate consumption of caffeine.
