In September, Brazil recorded the lowest number of deaths and monthly cases of Covid-19 in 2021. 16,336 deaths and 650,203 cases of the disease were reported in the country. The data is from the National Board of Health Trustees released this Thursday (30).
The country recorded 627 deaths and 27,527 cases of Covid-19 in the past 24 hours. With the update, Brazil has a total of 596,749 victims and 2,142,073 confirmed infections since the start of the pandemic, in March 2020.
falls acute respiratory syndrome
The Oswaldo Cruz Foundation (Fiocruz) InfoGripe, released Thursday, notes that Brazil has stabilized at the lowest rate of severe acute respiratory syndrome (SRAG) cases since the start of the pandemic. Only five of the 27 countries show signs of an increase in the long-term trend. Currently, about 96% of cases of SRAG are associated with Covid-19 infection. Read more.

A study conducted by the University of Oxford, UK, found that 37% of patients who contracted Covid-19 continued to have symptoms for 3 to 6 months after contracting the disease. Read more.
AstraZeneca Enhancement Study
The state of Amazonas will conduct a study to evaluate the effectiveness of the booster dose of the AstraZeneca vaccine against Covid-19. The survey will be conducted with more than 5,000 people who have completed the vaccination schedule through the CovacManaus Study, which began in March of this year. Read more.
