The researchers found that men tended to have more shortness of breath, fatigue, chills and fever. Meanwhile, women are more likely to lose their sense of smell, experience chest pain and a persistent cough. For people over 60 years of age, the likelihood of diarrhea is greater, while loss of smell is less common.
On the other hand, people who have taken two doses of the Covid-19 vaccine typically experience headaches, runny nose, sneezing, and sore throat when infected.
“It is important for people to know that early symptoms fall into a wide range, and can be different for each family member,” Claire Steves, one of the study’s authors, told the Daily Mail. The information, according to the researcher, is essential for case screening and tracking.
