Vidigal announces a 23% increase in food tickets for Serra servers

Mayor Sergio Vidigal (PDT) announced Thursday afternoon (29) that he will grant a 23% increase in the monthly food ticket served to servers in Serra. With the adjustment, the benefit becomes R$ 650, which is roughly the same as the minimum wage.

According to the municipality of Serra, the adjustment is 5 times that of inflation, and as a result, the municipality now has the highest ticket in the greater Vitoria area, in Espírito Santo. The idea, according to the municipality, is to grant the ticket increase where the impact of inflation is greater.

In an interview with the newspaper new timethe mayor stated that the new amount is already entering into value in January 2023.

“Regarding public servants’ appraisal policy, today we made a very important decision. Usually municipalities are simply interested in giving a reward that they cannot repeat. Serra City Hall has always taken special care that everything we do for the servant is an achievement, and today we have decided that Serra City Hall food ticket A value of R$525, remembering that last year we gave an adjustment of 50% and this year I will re-adjust another 23.5%. The ticket will range from R$525 to R$650 for the valet in Serra,” the mayor said.

According to Vidigal, “The big advantage of this, first is that where there was a higher rate of inflation it was specifically in food and the IPCA was readjusted by 5% and gives the municipality 23.5%. It’s the highest value for a city hall ticket in the metropolitan area.”

Finally, the mayor declared the ticket value to be 50% of half of the minimum wage.

The bill containing the initiative will be referred to the Serra City Council in January. With the approval of the council members, the project reverts to the mayor, who approves it and enforces the law.

“It is a measure that the municipality will refer to the city council in January, with the hope that the council members will approve it. The servant will be able to count on the value of this new ticket from January,” he explained.

With this, the new amount must be granted at the end of January repayment.

Vidigal gave a 10% reshuffle to servers and rewards in January
