US B-52 bombers arrive in the UK for training in Europe

B-52H Stratofortress bombers from the United States arrived in the United Kingdom this Thursday (10). The plane took off from Minot Air Force Base in North Dakota and landed at the English Air Force Base in Fairford.

The aircraft was sent to carry out a bomber task force that includes intensive training with the Allied Air Force of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO).

Before heading to Fairford Air Force Base, the military plane flew over some parts of the north of Scotland, where they underwent a brief training with the Royal Air Force aircraft.

“UK and US challenge each other to support Bomber Task Force missions, continued development and development as part of NATO and Air Police.”Published by RAF.

With rising tensions in Eastern Europe, including NATO, Russia and Ukraine, the B-52Hs in the UK also represent great US strategic value in the region.

Other Usaf planes were sent to Eastern Europe, with UK-based F-15 fighter jets landing at an air base in Poland this week, with Russia intensifying training with ally Belarus.
