Unimed system leaders meet to discuss complementary health scenarios and developments in the cooperative |  SEGS

The third Unimed Forum, to be held on May 11 and 12 in Campos do Jordão (SP), will address the future of medical practice, the collaborative model and health plans

With the aim of promoting strategic thinking in the Unified System and Complementary Health, the third Unimed Strategic Forum will bring together Unimed leaders from across the country, on May 11 and 12, in Campos do Jordão (SP). During the two-day event, a look into the future will be launched in three themes: medical practice, collaborative model and health plans.

“This is the third edition of the Unimed Strategic Forum, an example that values ​​dialogue and the importance of integration to implement the actions required by the moment. Our sector faces important challenges and reflects on the sustainability and continuity of our cooperatives essential in this context, ”says the President of Unimed do Brasil, Omar Abu Jamra Junior.

With over 55 years of experience in Brazilian complementary health, Unimed is the largest system of health cooperatives in the world. Representing 340 cooperatives with autonomous management spread over 90% of the national territory, the model allows the Unimed system to contribute to the internalization of quality health care and to respond quickly to different local realities. It provides its ability to know the reality of the country and the challenges facing each region, which supports the establishment of partnerships with the public system, which greatly affects the development of the sector.

In more than 55 years of activity, Unimed stands out as a leader in the complementary health sector. The brand was born with the founding of Unimed Santos (SP), in 1967, and today it comprises a system of 340 medical cooperatives, present in 90% of Brazilian cities and serving 19 million people.
