UK sets third consecutive record for new Covid-19 cases in 24 hours | Globalism

the United kingdom Friday (17), for the third consecutive day, recorded a record number of Covid-19 infections, with more than 93 thousand new cases and 111 deaths recorded in the past 24 hours – according to health authorities’ figures.

The country is one of the hardest hit by the pandemic in the world, with more than 147,000 people killed.

England’s chief medical officer, Chris Whitty, said on Thursday the sudden rise in cases was putting pressure on a health care system struggling with worker illness.

France to restrict entry to travelers from the UK

Witty told lawmakers that micron by micron is so transmissible that even if it proves to be milder than other variants, it could still cause an increase in hospital admissions.

The record for hospitalizations with Covid-19 was 4,583 in January.
