UK Prime Minister praised for anti-trans speech – DiversEM

British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak shared the transfer ideas during his speech at the Conservative Party conference last Wednesday (4). The audience, mostly from the right wing, applauded the leader’s speeches.

Sunak said British people were being ‘bullied’ into saying ‘people can be whatever gender they want’.

“A man is a man, a woman is a woman, it’s just common sense,” the prime minister said, drawing applause from the audience.

This is not the first time the leader has attacked transgender people, who have already used the issue as a joke to entertain members of the Conservative Party.
In June this year, a video shared with British LGBT+ news website Pink News showed Rishi Sunak mocking transgender people, mocking ‘women with penises’ and British MP Ed Davey, who supports trans rights.

Also, during the Conservative Party leadership debate in August 2022, she and Liz Truss, who served as Prime Minister of the United Kingdom from September to October 2022, denied that transgender people were women.
