Uffall’s collaboration with the University of Wolverhampton (UW-UK) took place with Leticia Lopes, a postgraduate student in the Laboratory of Pharmacology and Immunology, and Professor Olivia Corcoran, who works in the Department of Medicinal Chemistry. of Science at VIDA (UW-UK), and was his internship supervisor for the Science Without Borders project. “Professor Olivia expressed her desire to collaborate with Ufaal to compete in this public announcement. We did this project together with two other universities in Brazil, we streamlined the project in a week and we were approved,” Magna celebrates.

Post-doc Letícia Lopes said, “This partnership is important to strengthen the relationship between the United Kingdom and Uffal, and may open the way to new partnerships and, through this project, promote gender equality in scientific research, especially in STEM areas . The development of the project envisages some actions to present the data with two face-to-face meetings and five virtual meetings. “The first face-to-face meeting will take place in April 2023 in Brazil. “We will have representatives from UK, Ufal, UFRJ and UEMA. At the end of the project, a face-to-face evaluation meeting will be held in the UK,” informs the coordinator.
