Four Brazilian inns, two from Bahia, appear among the 25 best hotels in the world on Travelers’ Choice 2021 annual list – Best of the Best, a traditional award from travel site TripAdvisor.
Among Bahia’s hostels, the best hostel on the list is the Quarto Crescente Inn (photo above), in Trancoso, in the Porto Seguro district. The project, which visitors rated as a “cared for and cared for in every detail” space, took 13th place in the awards. It is the fifth year in a row that the inn has appeared on the list.
Another local highlight is the Inn Recanto do Arraial (photo below), in Arraial d’Ajuda, also an area in Porto Seguro. “Incredible vacations in the right place” and “Reception, comfort, cleanliness, food, hostel structure, all of these items deserve top marks” are some of the comments highlighted on the award website.
The best Brazilian hostel placed in the ranking was Gaia Viva, in Igaratá, in the interior of São Paulo, which ranks fifth. The Brazilian quartet was completed by Casa da Ilha do Mel, a charming inn located in Ilha do Mel on the Paraná coast, which won 20th place.
The platform for the best hostels on the planet was formed by the opulent The Toulson Court, in Scarborough, UK, which took first place. The Bayfront Westcott House Bed & Breakfast is located in the back, in St. Augustine, Florida (USA). And the bronze medalist was Torcroft, in Torquay, UK.
Tripadvisor’s rating is based on guest reviews of properties in categories such as location, cleanliness, service, and cost-effectiveness.
