To GloboNews, employees reported their discomfort with the presence of religiosity in the work environment, which is “unjustified” in rating these servers and could translate into a “violation of religious freedom”, as not all religions are covered.

Servers say, though the matter is “delicate” and “generates embarrassment” because the book’s distribution project, while not mandatory, “stimulates the exercise of faith in the work environment, two things that should not be mixed.”

GloboNews requested the Federal Highway Police to report no complaints registered to the agency’s Ombudsman about the project.

Regarding the fact that the project does not include other religions, PRF said that if there are servers interested in the activities, they should submit an application.

“The activities of religions that are not officially represented – not only those of African descent, but also Buddhists, Hindus, Muslims and others – may be carried out within the scope of the institution, at the request and justified claim of the respective servers, being the responsible servant responsible for the management of the PRF Church to make contacts with Religious ministers of the requesting sects,” the agency replied.

The PRF also informed that there was no spending of public money and that the project did not oblige anyone to participate.
