Influenza vaccination, also known as the flu shot, will be extended to all priority groups from Monday (10). In Fortaleza, the vaccine will be available in all health centers.

On weekdays, the flu shot can be received from 7:30 am to 6:30 pm. On weekends and holidays, the vaccine will be available at Louis Franklin, in the Cuasso district, and Irma Hersilia, in São João do Taube, from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Until then, immunization was restricted to children from six months of age to children under six (5 years, 11 months, and 29 days).

The vaccination protects against the most common types of viruses (A, H1N1, and H3N2; and B), while increasing circulation.

To get vaccinated, all groups must present an official document with a photograph and proof of residence, as well as proof of belonging to the priority group, if necessary.
