FAPESP Agency – The British Council is accepting applications until September 15 for the tender “HE Connects: UK-US Partnerships for DNE and Internationalisation” launched under the Going Global Partnership programme.

The public announcement, aimed at higher education institutions in the United Kingdom, Brazil and Mexico, seeks to build long-term collaborations and relationships to accelerate higher education internationalization activities. The focus is on capacity building and building strategic relationships to address the institutional challenges of student recruitment, research development, mutual recognition of qualifications and other priorities in transnational education.

Activities offered under the program must meet the requirements of the UK, Brazil and Mexico and meet certain conditions, such as: supporting and contributing to integrated national and state organizations in addressing local issues and using UK transnational education to facilitate national reforms. At the organizational level; Identify and contribute to clear benefits and implications for higher education stakeholders, including leadership, staff, students and the wider community; establishing partnerships that support greater social and gender inclusion in the higher education sector; Contribute to country needs through structural and institutional changes and relate them to the general objectives of the Going Global Partnership programme; among others.

The initiative will support eight projects for 12 months beginning in November this year. Bilateral projects between the UK and Brazil or the UK and Mexico can apply for a maximum of £20,000; Projects with trilateral partnerships with Brazil and Mexico can apply for up to £30,000; And projects with two partners from the same country can apply for up to £25,000.
